Risk Marshal ("Risk Marshal," "we," "our," or "us") is a subscription-based software platform operated by Housle. Risk Marshal provides trading account monitoring, performance analytics, discipline tracking, alerts, and risk management tools for traders and trading teams.
Risk Marshal is not a brokerage, investment advisor, financial institution, prop trading firm, or custodial financial service provider. We do not hold customer funds, execute trades, or provide investment advice.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, process, and protect information when users access our website, platform, and related services.
By using Risk Marshal, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, username, login credentials (via our authentication provider), subscription details, and billing-related metadata
- Trading and analytics data: only when you connect accounts and enable features—through authorized integrations (such as MetaApi), we may collect trading account metrics, performance statistics, risk analytics, drawdown data, trading activity summaries, and account monitoring information based on your configuration and consent
- Credentials for integrations: when you connect MT5, you provide read-only investor credentials for standard account sync. For our optional Managed Hosting service (Pro/Elite plans), you must also provide your MT5 master trading password to allow the VPS-hosted Expert Advisor (EA) to execute order closure, modification, or blocking rules at the broker layer. Master passwords are encrypted using AES-256-GCM prior to storage and are never accessed in plaintext by staff. If you self-host the EA locally, we only request and store read-only investor credentials, and you never share your master password.
- Device and technical information: IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, usage logs, session activity, and cookies
- Communication information: support requests, contact forms, feedback, and emails or other communications with our team
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and maintain platform functionality
- Process subscriptions and account access
- Monitor platform performance and reliability
- Generate analytics and risk insights
- Improve user experience
- Provide alerts and notifications
- Detect fraud, abuse, or unauthorized activity
- Comply with legal obligations
- Communicate with users regarding updates, billing, and support
3. Sale of Personal Information
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
4. Payment Processing
Payments and subscription billing are processed through third-party payment providers. Our designated subscription billing processor is Paddle. We may add or change payment processors from time to time as our operations require.
Risk Marshal does not directly store full payment card information on its servers. Payment processors independently collect and process payment-related information according to their own privacy policies and compliance obligations.
Billing disputes and refund requests are handled under our Terms of Service (Refunds section). Contact support@riskmarshal.com.
5. Third-Party Integrations
Risk Marshal may integrate with third-party services including trading platform APIs (such as MetaApi), analytics providers (such as PostHog), authentication and database providers (such as Supabase), email delivery (such as Resend), error monitoring (such as Sentry), cloud hosting, notification systems, and payment processors.
By connecting third-party accounts or services, you authorize Risk Marshal to access account data necessary for platform functionality. Risk Marshal is not responsible for the privacy practices, security measures, or operational availability of third-party platforms.
6. Coach and Accountability Partner Visibility
If you explicitly invite or accept a link with an accountability partner or coach, they will have direct access to your trading dashboard and telemetry. By default, linking a coach grants them full visibility into your trading performance, including your active trade logs (open/close times, prices, direction, lot sizes, commission, swap, and net P&L), historical daily balance/equity snapshots, detailed sub-discipline scores (risk, execution, emotional, and consistency scores), and recorded rules breaches.
Consent and Control: Coaches have no administrative access to change your active broker credentials, billing plans, or personal details, and they cannot alter your rule thresholds directly (they may only propose formal rule change recommendations, which you must explicitly approve or decline on your dashboard).
Revocation of Access: You retain absolute control over your roster connections. You can instantly revoke a coach's access to your data at any time by navigating to the 'Accountability Partner' or settings tab and clicking 'Disconnect Coach'. Once disconnected, all data sharing, thread read/write access, and telemetry streaming to that coach's portal are terminated immediately.
7. AI Coach (Marshal Intelligence)
Our Marshal Intelligence service is powered exclusively by xAI (using the Grok reasoning model). When you use the AI Coach or view automated narrative reports, sanitized trading statistics, discipline scores, and chat logs are transmitted directly to xAI for real-time analysis. We sanitize this data prior to transmission by stripping out personal identifiable information (PII) such as your full name, email address, or specific account credentials, replacing them with anonymized roster handles.
Data Transfer & Regional Privacy: xAI operates hosting infrastructure located in the United States. By using our AI features, you acknowledge and agree that your sanitized analytics data will leave your domestic region to be processed in the United States.
AI Opt-out & Data Retention: xAI processes this data to generate real-time coaching responses and does not use your submitted telemetry or chat logs to train their public models. If you do not wish to have your trading statistics or queries processed by xAI, you may opt out by leaving the AI Coach interface and disabling the Weekly AI Digest under your account settings. We retain in-app chat logs and rate-limiting metadata in our secure database for up to 30 days to power your chat history and ensure system stability.
AI outputs are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute investment advice, trading recommendations, or guarantees of trading outcomes.
9. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain account functionality, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
We may delete or anonymize certain data after account closure, a deletion request, or extended inactivity.
10. Data Security
We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
However, no system, network, or internet transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users acknowledge that use of the platform is at their own risk.
We do not claim GDPR certification, SOC 2 compliance, ISO certification, or "bank-grade security" unless explicitly stated in a separate written attestation.
11. International Users
Risk Marshal may process and store data in multiple jurisdictions depending on infrastructure providers and service integrations.
By using the platform, users acknowledge that information may be transferred, processed, and stored outside their country of residence.
12. User Rights
Depending on applicable laws and jurisdiction, users may have rights to access personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion of certain information, object to certain processing activities, or request data portability.
Requests may be submitted through support@riskmarshal.com. Where available in the product, you may also use in-app data export or account deletion flows (deletion may be subject to a cooling-off period).
13. Children's Privacy
Risk Marshal is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If we become aware that information has been collected from a minor without appropriate authorization, we may take steps to remove such information.
14. Service and Financial Disclaimer
Risk Marshal provides software tools for analytics, monitoring, and risk management purposes only. We are not a signal provider, investment adviser, or broker. Nothing on the platform constitutes investment advice, financial advice, trading recommendations, brokerage services, or guarantees of profitability or trading outcomes.
Monitoring and enforcement features run only according to rules and connections you authorize. We are not responsible for your trading capital, profit, or loss. See our Terms of Service and Risk Disclaimer for full limitations.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect operational changes, legal requirements, infrastructure updates, or service improvements.
Updated versions will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
